This weekend I’ll be travelling to Copenhagen to attend Fantasticon, the annual convention celebrating all things sci-fi, fantasy and horror. This year’s theme is ‘Weird Fiction’ and I’m absolutely thrilled to have been invited as a Guest of Honour.
I’ll be on various panels and talks – the full programme is available on the Fantasticon website, but I’ll post my panels below:
SATURDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER:
12:00-12:50 – Interview (with Jesper Rugård Jensen)
14:00-14:50 – Trauma in Horror Fiction (talk, exploring the link between trauma, physical space and hauntings in horror fiction, and asking the question: why does the ghost return to traumatised places, and what do they ask of us?)
16:00-16:50 – Writing the Weird (with Anne-Marie Vedsø Olesen, Amdi Silvestri and Jesper Rugård.)
SUNDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER:
12:00-12:50 – The New Weird (with Niels Dalgaard, Stig W. Jørgensen Jane Mondrup and Lars Ahn.)
I’m incredibly excited to visit Copenhagen for the first time and to experience Fantasticon – if you’re there, come and say hello!
Omg that’s awesome! Your brilliance is being recognised globally xxx
Congratulations! Another well-earned milestone… 🙂
